Week 15--- You @#$%*

Tjena min familj och kompisar! (Hey my family and friends)

This week has flown by!

We met a dude last week while tracting (knocking on doors and talking to people on the street) who is 59 years old which we met for the second time this week. He says he is closed 99 percent to the gospel, but I can tell he likes our message. We joke around about how Äldste Carter is an Alien from Area 51 because he's from Utah. When we were visiting him, he brought out a bunch of godies (candies) and we chowed them down and later on the phone he brought it up saying 'you bastards ate my godies' ha ha ,he's hilarious. He calls us his sons.

We helped the sister missionaries paint an investigator’s house for a few hours Tuesday morning. It was pretty relaxing.

We met our guy Pelle at church with his daughter Felicia who is 21ish, ate some ice cream and chatted. She ended up coming to church Sunday with her Grandma which is Signild, the older recent convert who is like a grandma to us.  But Pelle is the man, he sends us guitar tabs because he knows I play guitar and have one in our apartment.

Like 2ish months ago we met a couple who was older and Swedish and had visited Nauvoo, Illinois, a historical site in Mormon church history, and Temple Square in America. They'd read most of the Book of Mormon. They were on vacation for 2 months. We did some family history with the guy which was cool to see him in the church helping Äldste Carter out with his work.

Every time we stop by a member’s house or do something for them, they repay us in food... it's dangerous. They'll give us ice cream, or godies, or bullar (kind of like cinnamon rolls). I have to run extra hard in the mornings to keep my figure ;)

Funny story I forgot to write earlier, but a few weeks back I talked to this dude on the bus who seemed kinda slow. Äldste Carter thought he was drunk, but anyways we got his number and finally met up 2 weeks later. We met him at the church and taught him the first lesson, but the entire lesson he was on his phone. While Äldste Carter was teaching a missionary lesson on the First Vision, this guy is literally calling someone on Facebook messenger to video message, not to ping them in to the lesson, but just to call someone. He was texting the entire time too. I was trying so hard not to crack up the entire time. It turned out he was just socially deficient.

We have 5 or 6 people we teach weekly who are interested in our message which is great! We are working hard and having a good time while doing it.

I hit 2 months in Sweden this week and my one-seventh mark on the mish! Only 6 more times.

My spiritual thought for this week is about prayer. I had an experience this week where I know that God was listening to me. I know that if any of us pray, especially if we ask him a question or share our concerns, He will listen. So, test it out! God's there for us.

Love you all!

Äldste Gordon

Prepday when we biked out to Björn Ö (bear island)

Every Monday night we plan an activity night with games. Cracker on the face game.

A little car in  Gyrta, Sweden.

This nerdy pics with the leaf blower (i look like a dad) are
from when we mowed the church lawn and cleaned up the yard.

Gotta look our best...cleaning our pores. Swedish style.
