Week 16......Busy Week Traveling

Hej hej!!
This week flew by (like they all do). It was a super fun week.
We had zone conference in Stockholm on Tuesday which was really good. It's always good to see the other missionaries in the area. I saw my MTC companion, Äldste Winkel, which was cool! It had been nearly 2 months since I had seen him!
I went on splits (splitting up the companionship and going out with another missionary) with Elder Beveridge. He came to Västerås and my comp went to Örebro. It was good to spend a day with him and learn from him. We had dinner with a family in the ward and the dad has an invention that carbonates any drink. It's super small and hooks up the fridge. But Äldste Beveraidge had him carbonate some milk and drink it, ha ha super janky but funny to watch him drink this curdled-looking milk.
We taught a man from Africa, Sorie. He's been taught by the missionaries for about a year but is difficult to get him to stick to an appointment. We went over there, read some of the Book of Mormon with him and ended up talking about humanity and how you can't change the truth. He has an African accent, really buff, squatty guy and was all sprawled out on his oversized futon spewing words of wisdom. It was like I was talking to Rafiki from Lion King (the one with the stick ha ha)
Saturday, we traveled to Stockholm for a leadership training meeting so we drove there with the Branch President (who is the coolest, suavest guy you'll ever meet). On the way back, we stopped at a fast food place called Max Burger and he bought us big burgers, shakes, fries, soda... that was the first meal I've had here that tasted American It was sooo good.
On Sunday we had 3 investigators in church which was better than normal! Kais showed up late but stayed for all 3 hours. He slipped out after the first meeting to take a smoke, but it made my week to have him there. He said he felt really good to be there. We also had Hashim, the 17 yo Persian teen there, and a lady we met this week there who is Nigerian. I got to translate to English for her during a lesson which was good practice.
My spiritual thought for the week comes from a Book of Mormon scripture, Alma 30:44. It reads
“All things denote there is a God. even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, it's motion and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Surpreme Creator.”
This makes me think back to the beautiful sights I've seen while hiking and traveling around the world. Just beholding the beauty that is Earth is enough evidence that there must be a God. I'm so grateful that He gave us this world and mountains and forests to ski on, hike through, look at, and have fun in. The man upstairs has a good eye for beauty.
Thanks for the support and love! I love you all so much!!

In Sweden you have to compost, learned not to compost in a paper bag :/
