T-Minus 12 weeks--- Västra Frölunda

ATTENTION:  My new email is rylan.gordon@missionary.org!

This was a turn around week for us here in Västra Frölunda. There was a lot of information for interested people from the past few months to several years lying around in our phones and we finally this week finished cleaning through all of them. The cool thing is that after slimming down the area and figuring out who was really interested, it's like God gave us some more people to focus on. We were able to meet a few new people this week which is always refreshing -- they can be far and few between at times.

I went on splits to Kungsbacka (Kings Hill in English) and was with my boy Elder Fronk from California. We had a big open day so we got some good time to be out knocking doors in the rain and snow slush. We set the goal of giving out 2 copies of the Book of Mormon in our stund, and were able to give out the first to this 19 yo guy who was a Jehovah Witness. A few hours went buy without luck and we headed back to the bus stop. We noticed we had 10 mins left till the bus came, so we bonzai'd back into a neighborhood to hit our goal and the second door we knocked was a cool middle-aged swedish man that asked us for the book after we explained what it was and how it has helped us in our lives.

This whole week it's felt like God has put us in the right place at the right time so help us meet specific people. And there were days where we didn't plan to be somewhere, but something happened that screwed up the schedule and made it so we were there for example like us getting home and realizing Elder Moss left his phone on the spårvagn (street car). We went back to get it, got in touch with the spårvagn driver and he met us and gave us the phone. In the process we met a less active member that was named something that I had heard in a dream 2 weeks back and wrote down on our whiteboard, as well as a girl that was taught last year but just lost contact with the missionaries.

There's a bunch more stories, but it's been very clear to us that God's plan takes precedence, and some days we get it right in planning and others we don't so God works his magic and uses our clumsiness to his advantage.

Week 89
Tjena tjena mina vänner!

To be honest, there isn't a whole lot to report on this week because my comp and I have been sick with a cold and then a fever. We did have some cool experiences though with setting some specific goals and then reaching them while we were out.

We got together with some of the boys in the ward on Saturday morning and played some innebandy which was pretty fun. They're all younger than like 14 but all stinkin good at it. Swedes are pretty much all naturally good at floor ball, but we had a good time playing around with them.

Peppered in the week were some good lessons with members along for help which made the lessons great👌🏼

Life is treating me well here. Have a good one! I'll have something more exciting next week :)

I'd been sick this week, so I was resting and Aldste Moss fixed my bike for me!
What a guy!

Funny story: A few weeks back while we were walking in the snow, Aldste Moss lost his
name tag. After the snow had melted we were walking down the same street and someone had found his
name tag and hung it on the fence. Welcome to Sweden, Swedes have your back.
